Vandalia Junior High School had the highest enrollment among Fayette County schools, welcoming 514 students during the 2021-22 school year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

Out of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 55.1% of them were boys, and 44.9% were girls.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, representing 92.6% of the student body at Vandalia Junior High School.

Among the 11 schools in Fayette County, Vandalia Elementary School ranked second in enrollment with 499 students, while Vandalia Community High School welcomed 365 students to be ranked third in the 2021-22 school year.

Vandalia Junior High School is a part of Vandalia Community Unit School District 203, which generally encompasses schools within Fayette County with its main office in Vandalia.

In the previous school year, Vandalia Junior High School had the highest number of students among Fayette County schools.
