Iuka Community Consolidated School District 7 Board of Education met Dec. 18.
Here is the agenda provided by the board:

7.1A Shall the Board approve the minutes from the Monday, November 15, 2023 Regular Meeting?
7.1B Shall the Board approve the bills as presented?
7.1C Shall the Board approve the payroll?
7.1D Shall the Board approve the Treasurer's Report?
7.1E Shall the Board destroy verbatim closed session minutes up to 18 months back?
Individuals / delegations are permitted to address the Board at all regular board meetings. No individual delegation shall be permitted to address the Board during a Special Board Meeting, unless the Board votes to suspend the rules and allow the individual/delegation the opportunity.
The individual delegation shall be allowed a maximum of five (5) uninterrupted minutes to make his / her presentation. The individual / delegation shall present his / her views, concerns, suggestions, and recommendations in an objective manner free of profanity and obscenity. The character, reputation or good name of an individual shall not be discussed in an open Board Meeting.

I am not expecting many guests this month.

To discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the district or legal counsel for the district, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee.

11. OLD BUSINESS:
11.1A Gym Floor Project
11.1B Christmas Program - (NO MOTION)
Our Christmas Program was held on December 7th. Our gym was packed! Our students did a terrific job.
11.1C Senior Luncheon - (NO MOTION)
After three years, we brought back the treasured community event. Around 100 members of our Senior attended the luncheon. Many expressed appreciation for reinstating the event.
12. NEW BUSINESS:

Donations for IFD Coins for Clause Adopt-A-Child Program - (NO MOTION)
The school matched the donated amount and the grand total was $ 943.53. Our 4th grade class won the top donations and were awarded a cookie party.
12,1B Adopt Tax Levy for FY23 – (MOTION)
12.1C We had several of our baseball and softball players honored recently for making OBC All Conference. Congratulations to Kaden Cripps, Damon Jennings, Katee Sellers, Emily Jones, and Kenley Cripps. We are very proud of these young people. - (NO MOTION)

14. OTHER BUSINESS: We had our staff Christmas luncheon today. The office staff prepared an awesome meal for the staff. Wednesday, we will dismiss at 2:15.
15. ANNOUNCEMENTS: Staff will report back from break on January 3, 2024 and students on January 4, 2024.
Monday, January 15, 2024 is MLK Day. Next board meeting is Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
