Jim Koehler told the Commission that if they put a restroom at the Bryan Home it must be handicap accessible so may be building a facility instead of using the Safe Shed building that was being donated. Mr. Koehler said he would get costs to compare and maybe use donations to pay for it.

Luke Purcell discussed the Saturday schedule at the museum for remainder of June and July.

Luke told the Commission that he was approached by Jed Casburn with the YMCA regarding help with the summer camp. Plans are being made to do a miniature version of Tales of East Lawn, possibly doing a presentation at the Community Center and them walking to the cemetery to find the graves.

On June 29 from 10am – 11am there will be the Stump Speech Story Hour in an area in the back yard of the Bryan Home. Information is posted on the door of the Bryan Home with contact information for tours. Myron also noted that the Bust of William Jennings Bryan has been returned to the home and the column that was in the park will be placed in the garden at the home.

Diane Eller noted that she has some of the characters for the Cemetery Tour but is still working on the list.

Mark Larimer brought up creating a “Friends Group” to assist the Historical Commission. It was the consensus of the members that Mark Larimer, Diane Eller and Luke Purcell serve on the committee to get something started.
