City of Greenville Planning Commission will meet Aug. 7.

Here is the agenda provided by the commission:

1. ROLL CALL

2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

3. PUBLIC HEARING

3.1. Open Public Hearing to discuss ordinance to amend the Use Matrix Table and to amend chapter 153 of the unified code in its entirety.

5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

5.1. Approve the minutes of Pan Commission dated June 3, 2024.

6. MATTERS OF CONSIDERATION

6.1. Consideration of Ordinance to amend the Use Matrix Table 153.0202(A) of the Unified Development Code, to make bars, taverns, and nightclubs a permitted use in the (CN) Commercial Neighborhood and (CG) Commercial General zones. And to also remove the word "nightclubs" from the Use Matrix Table in its entirety.

Motion to recommend to the City Council Ordinance amending the Use Matrix Table 153.0202(A) of the Unified Development Code, to make bars, taverns, and nightclubs a permitted use in the (CN) Commercial Neighborhood and (CG) Commercial General zones. And to also remove the word "nightclubs" from the Use Matrix Table in its entirety.

6.2. Consideration of Ordinance to amend chapter 153 of the unified development code in its entirety.

Motion to recommend to the City Council Ordinance amending chapter 153 of the unified development code in its entirety.
