Taylorville Community Unit School District 3 had the highest enrollment among Christian County districts, welcoming 2,228 students during the 2022-23 school year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education.

Data also showed that the majority of students identified themselves as white, making up 92% of the Taylorville Community Unit School District 3's total enrollment.

Among the five districts in Christian County, Pana Community Unit School District 8 ranked second in enrollment numbers with 1,139 students, while Morrisonville Community Unit School District 1 welcomed 309 students and ranked third in the 2022-23 school year.

Taylorville Community Unit School District 3 roughly covers schools within Christian County with its main office in Taylorville.

In the previous school year, Taylorville Community Unit School District 3 also had the highest number of students among Christian County districts.

Illinois has approved a new budget for 2025 that increases funds for K-12 education to $8.6 billion, $350 million above 2024.
