Macoupin County Board Public Safety Committee met Oct. 3.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

I. CALL TO ORDER 

PRESENT: Kiel, Dragovich, Barr, Adden, Ibberson, Payne (Remote), Starr, Schmidt, Duncan, Dunnagan, Stayton (Remote), Blank 

ABSENT: 

Motion by Dragovich, seconded by Adden to seat Dragovich at 6:07 pm. All in favor. Motion carried. 

II. AGENDA ITEMS 

1. Decision Regarding Animal Control Administrator Position 

Schmidt said he had spoken with Gerl since she had said she would be leaving county employment and she said she was still interested in the position. Gerl discussed her concerns with what had been happening since she had started There was a discussion about conditions if Julie were going to come back. 

Motion by Ibberson, seconded by Adden to recommend to the full Board having Gerl start again on October 21st and having Boehler work until October 18th. 

RESULT: MOTION TO RECOMMEND [6 TO 1] 

MOVER: Jim Ibberson, Member 

SECONDER: Ross Adden, Member 

AYES: Dragovich, Barr, Adden, Ibberson, Payne, Starr

NAYS: Kiel
