A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was sent to Germantown School District 60 regarding copies of all emails and memos from the past year containing specific keywords. The request was made on January 28, 2025, by South Central Reporter, a media organization committed to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs.

The requested records specifically pertain to any correspondence containing the terms “Lucy Calkins” and “Units of Study.” The aim is to gather information that can provide transparency and hold public institutions accountable. As members of the media, we believe it is our professional responsibility to disseminate this information to the public.

In addition, we at South Central Reporter believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as media professionals due to our role in gathering and reporting news.
