Christian County taxpayers paid the 50th largest sum in sales taxes in November 2024, according to Illinois tax records.

In total, Christian County residents paid $415,943 in sales taxes during November 2024.

Christian County ranked 47th in the Prairie State the month before, with $400,071 spent in sales taxes.

The County School Facility Tax accounted for the largest share of sales taxes paid by Christian County residents in November 2024.

As of 2021, Illinois was the highest taxed state in the US. A study from Wallet Hub found Illinois taxes were 39.83% higher than the national average.
