Macoupin County Board Finance Committee met Feb. 4.
Here are the minutes provided by the committee:
Members Present: Jon Payne, Todd Armour, Ross Adden, John Blank, Mark Dragovich, Gordon Heuer, and Bernie Kiel

1. Call to Order
1.1 Roll Call
There were 7 members present.
2. Agenda Items
2.1 Animal Control Cost for Flushing Geothermal Unit
Gerl was not present at the meeting so further follow up would be needed. There were questions about who was performing the work, what the cost was, and if any of the work had been done yet.
2.2 Reports for Monthly Claims and Officers Report
Duncan has passed out an example of the reports submitted in December 2020 vs the reports that were submitted last month. There were considerably fewer reports this month that the month before. Some did not submit one in quite a long time and some forget once and try and submit it the next month. The committee discussed sending a letter to all officials and department heads reminding them of how important it is to submit their reports and if they continue to not submit one, discuss holding back the paying of their bills until they are in compliance.
Motion to send a letter regarding claims and officers report and reminding all officials and department heads how important them turning their reports in are.

2.3 Adding Treasurer as Second Signer on All Accounts Currently Not Handled by Clerk & Treasurer
The committee discussed the importance of any fund not handled by the Clerk & Treasurer have the Treasurer as a second signer to avoid any potential issues and adding a check and balance.
Motion to recommend all funds not handled by Clerk and Treasurer to have Treasurer as a second signer.
