State Senator Jason Plummer has announced the launch of the 2025 Summer Reading Program, aimed at encouraging students in the 55th Senate District to continue reading during their summer vacation. The program is available to students entering grades 1 through 12.

Participants are required to read eight books by August 8, 2025, to complete the challenge. After finishing all eight books, students must fill out a summer reading form, have it signed by a parent or guardian, and return it to Senator Plummer's office. Forms can be mailed or dropped off at State Senator Jason Plummer's office located at 310 West Gallatin Street, Vandalia, IL 62471.

Students who meet the challenge will receive an official certificate from the Illinois Senate. Those seeking more information can contact Senator Plummer’s district office at 618-283-3000.
