Macoupin County Board General Administrative Committee met June 5.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Members Present: Bernie Kiel, Aaron Stayton, Ross Adden, Leann Barr, and Jim Ibberson Members Absent: John Trevino and Tony Wiggins Officials and Department Heads Present: Pete Duncan

1. Call to Order

1.1 Roll Call 

There were 5 members present and 2 members absent. 

2. Agenda Items

2.1 Approve Draft Agenda for Full Board Meeting

Motion to approve the draft agenda.

Seconded by: Ross Adden

Carried

2.2 Approve Non-Union Employee Timesheets

Motion to approve the non-union timesheets.

Moved by: Aaron Stayton

Seconded by: Jim Ibberson

Carried

2.3 Ordinance Authorizing the Recorder's Fraud Referral and Review Process and Establishing Fines for Unlawful Clouding of Title 

Duncan said this ordinance allows the Recorder to review deeds or other documents suspected of being fraudulent or unlawfully clouding title and refer them to the circuit court for determination. It will protect property owners, preserve the integrity of land records, and provide the County legal tools to combat the growing issue of title fraud.

Motion to recommend to the full Board for passage.

3.1 Adjourn Meeting

Motion to Barr, seconded by Adden to adjourn at 5:09 pm. All in favor. Motion carried.
