City of Centralia City Council met Aug. 25.

PUBLIC MEETING FOR OSLAD GRANT AT FAIRVIEW PARK
A public meeting was held on 5:45 p.m. on Monday, August 25, 2025 at City Hall, 101 S. Locust St., Centralia, IL 62801.
Milano & Grunloh Engineers, LLC gave an overview of the OSLAD grant and why the city was applying for it. The City of Centralia Park Improvements are proposed to include curb and gutter repairs to a portion of the existing roadway, new sidewalk, fencing, and other amenities.
The budget was presented for items that would be included in the OSLAD grant. The total project cost is $745,815.00. The city is eligible for up to 100% funding assistance; therefore, the city is applying for the full amount to cover $600,000.00 in construction costs. The additional cost of construction of $48,535.00 and $97,280.00 in engineering costs shall be paid by the City.
