Macoupin County Education: 59 Black students enrolled in school districts in 2023-24 school year

There were 59 Black students enrolled in Macoupin County school districts in the 2023-24 school year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education.

Data showed that Black students made up 0.8% of the 7,210 students in the county. They were the least represented ethnicity.

Among the eight districts in Macoupin County, Carlinville Community Unit School District 1 recorded the highest enrollment of Black students in the 2023-24 school year, with a total of 21 students.
