Analysis: Carlinville pays $3.22 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Carlinville Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 76.3 percent of the $243,322 the Carlinville Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.22 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Carlinville contributed $185,762 to the fund, which saw a $90,802 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $57,559, or 23.7 percent, in 2016. Another $1 came from other unspecified sources.
