Analysis: Litchfield pays $4.92 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Litchfield Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 83.1 percent of the $473,700 the Litchfield Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $4.92 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Litchfield contributed $393,789 to the fund, which saw a $27,523 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $79,911, or 16.9 percent, in 2016.
