Analysis: Taylorville pays $3.42 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Taylorville Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 77.4 percent of the $455,036 the Taylorville Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.42 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Taylorville contributed $352,082 to the fund, which saw a $11,510 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $102,896, or 22.6 percent, in 2016. Another $58 came from other unspecified sources.
