Cost of college went up for all students at Greenville University

Tuition and fees rose 2.5 percent for 2017-18 at Greenville University, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois students paid $26,356 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year $636 more than the $25,720 charged for 2016-17.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 260 students received grants or scholarships totaling $4.52 million and 211 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.44 million.

Including all undergraduates, 995 students used grants or scholarships totaling $15.81 million. Another 810 took out $6.1 million in federal student loans.
