Midland FPD responds to two fires in 2017

Midland Fire Protection District responded to four calls in 2017 - 84 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Midland included two fires - one structure fire and one other fire.

In all, the department saw $200 in fire loss - or about $100 per fire.

The department also received two false calls.

The Midland Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $134,867 in 2017.
