Keyesport Fire Protection District responded to 16 calls in 2017 - 23.1 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Keyesport included 14 fires - five structure fires, four vehicle fires and five other fires.

In all, the department saw $265,000 in fire loss - or about $18,929 per fire.

The department also received two false calls, including one malicious call and one other false calls.

The Keyesport Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $100,615 in 2017.
