Ramsey Fire Protection District responded to 33 calls in 2017 - 175 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Ramsey included 30 fires - nine structure fires, four vehicle fires and 17 other fires.

In all, the department saw $409,250 in fire loss - or about $13,642 per fire.

The department also received three false calls.
