Palmyra VFD responds to six fires in 2017

Palmyra Volunteer Fire Department responded to six calls in 2017 - 100 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Palmyra included six fires - one structure fire, one vehicle fire and four other fires.

In all, the department saw $41,000 in fire loss - or about $6,833 per fire.
