Nashville CFPD responds to 50 fires in 2017

Nashville Central Fire Protection District responded to 55 calls in 2017 - 25 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Nashville included 50 fires - 16 structure fires, 14 vehicle fires and 20 other fires.

In all, the department saw $469,300 in fire loss - or about $9,386 per fire.

The department also received five false calls.

The Nashville Central Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $1,054,087 in 2017.
