Report: Pana spent $9,280 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Pana Community Unit School District 8 is up 0.9 percent from five years ago, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Christian County school district spent $9,198 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,280 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1393 to 1305.

Pana's spending in 2017-18 was 30.4 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
