Report: Patoka spent $12,117 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Patoka Community Unit School District 100 is up 8.5 percent from five years ago, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Marion County school district spent $11,163 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $12,117 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 253 to 244.

Patoka's spending in 2017-18 was 9.1 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
