Report: Albers spent $6,167 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Albers School District 63 is down 8.3 percent from five years ago, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Clinton County school district spent $6,725 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $6,167 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 190 to 206.

Albers's spending in 2017-18 was 53.8 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
