Report: Centralia spent $13,649 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Centralia High School District 200 is up 1 percent from five years ago, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Marion County school district spent $13,514 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $13,649 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 922 to 908.

Centralia's spending in 2017-18 was 2.3 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
