Report: Oakdale spent $8,773 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Oakdale Community Consolidated School District 1 is down 12.2 percent from five years ago, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Washington County school district spent $9,987 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $8,773 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 80 to 74.

Oakdale's spending in 2017-18 was 34.2 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
