Report: Litchfield spent $9,346 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Litchfield Community Unit School District 12 is up 16 percent from five years ago, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Montgomery County school district spent $8,059 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,346 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 1430 to 1433.

Litchfield's spending in 2017-18 was 29.9 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
