Central City home prices fall in the second half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2017 in Central City fell by $12,500 while total sales remained unchanged with five homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2017, there were five homes sold, with a median sale price of $9,000 - a 58.1% decrease over the $21,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were five homes sold in Central City in the second half of 2016, as well.

The median sales tax in Central City for 2017 was $352. In 2016, the median sales tax was $352, as well. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 3.9%.
