Centralia home prices fall in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in Centralia fell by $16,500 while total sales decreased by 1.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 195 homes sold, with a median sale price of $35,000 - a 32% decrease over the $51,500 median sale price for the previous year. There were 198 homes sold in Centralia in 2016.

The median sales tax in Centralia for 2017 was $941. In 2016, the median sales tax was $941, as well. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.7%.
