Virden (Macoupin County) home prices fall in April 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in April 2017 in Virden in Macoupin County fell by $41,700 while total sales decreased by 66.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In April 2017, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $48,250 - a 46.4% decrease over the $89,950 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were six homes sold in Virden in April 2016.

The median sales tax in Virden for 2017 was $1,164. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,226. This marks an decrease of 5.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.4%.
