Taylorville Memorial Hospital issued the following announcement on May 30.
The Taylorville Memorial Hospital Auxiliary hosted its annual FORE! Golf Outing on Friday, May 17 on the beautiful greens at Lakeshore Golf Course. Eleven teams participated in the 18 hole, 4 person scramble.
The event began with a lunch at noon followed by a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Dinner was served after the event where winners were announced. The first place winners were Bill Barris and Bruce Eaker of MJ Kellner and John McDowell and J.I. McDowell of Angelo’s. Second place winners were Rex and Peggy Chapman, Phyllis Jachino and Neil Berbano from Taylorville Memorial Hospital. Dr. Ron Mizer, Rick Mazzotti, Dick Zigler and Gary Hart came in third.
The Auxiliary hosted the popular “Nose to Toes” raffle which was won by Becky Morrow. Tim Lance won the golf bag generously donated by Pepsi, 18 holes of golf for two, plus a one night stay donated by Oak Terrace, and a $50 gift card for Oak Terrace donated by the TMH Auxiliary. A Poker Run was also available for golfers and Rick Mazzotti was the lucky winner.
At the dinner, the TMH Auxiliary proudly presented a check to TMH Foundation executive director Raedena Ryan in the amount of $25,000. This will go towards the Auxiliary’s current $120,000 pledge in support of the medical technologies fund of the TMH Foundation to purchase new laboratory equipment.
“We are so grateful for the golfers and sponsors who helped make the golf outing such a success,” said TMH Auxiliary president, Jane Davis. “Their generosity goes a long way in helping our pledge to purchase new medical equipment for the hospital.”
The next TMH FORE! Golf Outing will be held May 15, 2020.
Established in the 1950’s the Taylorville Memorial Hospital Auxiliary promotes the mission of TMH to improve the health of the people and communities it serves through service to its patients, the community and to sponsor healthcare related projects through fundraising efforts.
