Q4 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Washington County?

There were three offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter that live in Washington County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by South Central Reporter.

The data shows that all of the released offenders in Washington County were men. The median age of the parolees was 42. The youngest parolee was a 34-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2017, and the oldest was a 47-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Dennis L. Johnston. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2017 when he was 46 years old. He is now 47.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the fourth quarter in each Washington County municipality.
