Taylorville Memorial Hospital issued the following announcement on July 15.
The Taylorville Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is proud to announce the 2019 recipients of the TMH Auxiliary Scholarship. Recipients are part- or full-time colleagues of TMH who are furthering their education to fulfill a career goal in the healthcare field.
The 2019 recipients are Jennifer Norbeck from Respiratory Therapy, Rebecca McCauley of the Emergency Department and Peyton Kennedy and Jacob McCauley from Laboratory.
“We are so pleased to be able to help these students throughout their entire education,” said TMH Auxiliary liaison Debbie Johnson. “Three of the recipients will be graduating within the next year.”
All candidates must submit an application which is given to an Auxiliary committee for review. This committee, of which at least one has a background in education, select the recipients. The scholarships are available each spring and are funded through the Auxiliary fundraisers, membership dues and anonymous donations.
Established in the 1950’s the Taylorville Memorial Hospital Auxiliary promotes the mission of TMH to improve the health of the people and communities it serves through service to its patients, the community and to sponsor healthcare related projects through fundraising efforts.
