The special meeting of the Board of Education of Carlyle Community Unit School District No. 1 to have open discussion of the construction / renovation for the high school project was held in the library at Carlyle High School, Carlyle, IL on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at 6:30 p.m.
President Aaron Heinzmann presided over the meeting and called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm

Board Members absent: none
Administrators present at roll call: Superintendent Dustin Bilbruck

4.1) OPEN DISCUSSION
Dustin Bilbruck gave an update on the building project, scope and cost
5.1) APPROVE DESIGN DEVELOPMENT OF CONSTRUCTION / RENOVATION
A motion was made by Rensing and seconded by Alexander to table this item.

Nay: none
6.1) EXECUTIVE SESSION
A motion was made by Kampwerth and seconded by Diekemper to move into executive session to discuss Exception 1 (Personnel) and Exception 11 (Litigation)

Nay: none
CLOSED SESSION BEGAN AT: 6:52 P.M.
RETURNED TO OPEN SESSION AT: 7:25 P.M.
7.1) APPROVE EMPLOYMENT OF STAFF FOR 2019-2020
A motion was made by Alexander and seconded by Diekemper to approve the employment of Rick Gordon as JH custodian and Brook Smith as a kindergarten teacher,

A motion was made by Diekemper and seconded by Brammeier to adjourn.
