Q2 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Fayette County?

There were 11 offenders released on parole during the second quarter of 2019 that live in Fayette County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by South Central Reporter.

The data shows that nine men and two women were released in Fayette County. Of the parolees, two were veterans, and the median age was 34. The youngest parolee was a 24-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2018, and the oldest was a 58-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2012.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Ronnie W. Spence. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2015 when he was 24 years old. He is now 29.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter of 2019 in each Fayette County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
