There was one offender released on parole during 2019 that lives in Brighton zip code 62012, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by South Central Reporter.

The data shows that the released offender was Troy E. Howard. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2016, when he was 43. He is now 48.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
