The South Central Community Unit School District #401 Board of Education held a regular monthly meeting on March 18, 2020.

Due to the following issues, the meeting was held electronically.

GOVERNOR SUSPENDS PHYSICAL PRESENCE REQUIREMENTS UNDER THE OMA

AND IMPOSES FURTHER LIMITS ON PUBLIC GATHERINGS

On March 9, 2020, Governor Pritzker declared all counties in Illinois as a disaster area in response to the COVID‐19 outbreak. As the spread of COVID‐19 continues to grow, the Governor issued an Executive Order today to suspend the physical presence requirements under the Open

Meetings Act (OMA) and to limit the size of all public and private gatherings in Illinois, among other things. The suspension of the OMA requirements was of utmost importance to public bodies throughout the State.

Effective March 15, 2020 due to the Coronavirus (COVID_19) the CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention), along with Illinois Governor Pritzker, recommend that for the next 8 weeks, organizers cancel or postpone in-person events that consist of 50 people or more throughout the U.S.

March 15, 2020 Governor J.B. Pritzker orders Illinois bars and restaurants will be barred from serving sit-down customers for at least two weeks.

March 16, 2020 President Donald Trump issued guidelines that called for Americans to avoid

- Kim Cousineau starting March 9, 2020

- Danielle Chasteen starting May 20, 2020 through the end of the 2019-2020 school year

The renewal of membership in IHSA for South Central High School for the 2020-2021 school year.
