Analysis: Litchfield pays $5.66 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Litchfield Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 85 percent of the $542,146 the Litchfield Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $5.66 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Litchfield contributed $460,747 to the fund, which saw a $39,310 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $81,399, or 15 percent, in 2018.
