Analysis: Centralia pays $5.01 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Centralia Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 83.4 percent of the $880,402 the Centralia Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $5.01 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Centralia contributed $734,032 to the fund, which saw a $18,082 decrease in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $146,370, or 16.6 percent, in 2018.
