Analysis: Carlinville pays $5.34 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Carlinville Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 84.3 percent of the $423,658 the Carlinville Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $5.34 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Carlinville contributed $356,939 to the fund, which saw a $110,962 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $66,720, or 15.7 percent, in 2018.
