Cost of college went up for all students at Greenville University

Tuition and fees rose 2.9 percent for 2018-19 at Greenville University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois students paid $27,130 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $774 more than the $26,356 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 220 students received grants or scholarships totaling $3.9 million and 166 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.2 million.

Including all undergraduates (1,132), 905 students used grants or scholarships totaling $15.2 million, and 689 students took out $5.2 million in federal student loans.
