Medora VFD responds to 21 fires in 2018

Medora Volunteer Fire Department responded to 24 calls in 2018 - 33.3 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Medora included 21 fires - eight structure fires, two vehicle fires and 11 other fires.

In all, the department saw $308,400 in fire loss - or about $14,686 per fire.

The department also received three false calls.

One fire service member was injured in fire-related incidents.

The Medora Volunteer Fire Department had an annual budget of $76,394 in 2018.
