Shoal Creek Fire Protection District responded to 19 calls in 2018 - 5 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Shoal Creek included 17 fires - eight structure fires, one vehicle fire and eight other fires.

In all, the department saw $47,200 in fire loss - or about $2,776 per fire.

The department also received two false calls.

The Shoal Creek Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $87,220 in 2018.
