City of Carlinville City Council met Aug. 17.

Here is the minutes provided by the council:

PRESENT: Alderman Downey, Alderman Howard, Alderman Koller, Alderman Link, Alderman McClain, Alderman Ober, Alderman Oswald, Mayor Deanna Demuzio, City Attorney Dan O’Brien, City Clerk Carla Brockmeier, Police Chief Haley, Absent: Alderman Brockmeier, Zoning Administrator Steve Parr, Woodard & Curran Representative Dan Held, City Treasurer/Budget Officer Reichmann

Approval of Previous Minutes - Motion was made by Alderman Link to approve minutes with one correction, seconded by Ober, motion passed unanimously.

Approval of Bills - Motion made to approve bills by Alderman Koller, seconded by Oswald, motion passed unanimously.

Katerina Emmons Correspondence

Census Announcement

City of Virden Correspondence

Motion was made to accept correspondence from Katerina Emmons and place the rest on file by Alderman Downey, seconded by Link, motion passed unanimously.

Public Comment

None

Old Business

Resolution Agreement Between the City and Matthew Hampton – Motion was made to approve resolution and attached letter by Alderman McClain, seconded by Oswald, motion passed unanimously.

Hire Part-Time Dispatcher

Hire Part-Time Officers

Motion was made to approve mayor’s appointment of a part-time dispatcher and part-time officers by Alderman Ober, seconded by Downey, motion passed unanimously. Part-time dispatcher will be Delaney Sanson, part-time officers will be James Krankel, Andrew Jones, Ronald Hannig and Cooper Etter.

New Business

None

Motion to adjourn was made by Alderman Downey at 6:11 p.m., seconded by Koller motion passed unanimously.
