City of Carlinville City Council met Oct. 5.

Here is the minutes provided by the council:

PRESENT: Alderman Harber, Alderman Downey, Alderman Howard, Alderman Koller, Alderman Link, Alderman McClain, Alderman Ober, Alderman Oswald, Mayor Deanna Demuzio, City Attorney Dan O’Brien, City Clerk Carla Brockmeier, by phone City Treasurer/Budget Officer Jody Reichmann, Police Chief Haley, Woodard & Curran Representative Dan Held

Approval of Previous Minutes - Motion was made by Alderman Koller to approve minutes, seconded by Howard, motion passed unanimously.

Approval of Bills - Motion made to approve by Alderman Ober, seconded Oswald, motion passed unanimously.

Motion was made by Alderman Ober to approve and place on file all correspondence, seconded by Harber motion passed unanimously.

Public Comment

None

Old Business

CTS Update – Members of CTS were here with a construction budget for the renovation of the police dept building and an RFP / Notice of Request for Proposals for Guaranteed Energy Savings for all city buildings for review and discussion.

Frontier Property Contract - tabled

Ordinance Amending Parts of the City Code Pertaining to Clerks Salary – Motion was made to approve the ordinance by Alderman Koller, seconded by Ober, motion passed with one nay vote from Alderman Oswald.

Alderman Downey made a motion at 6:20 p.m. to go into executive session, seconded by Ober, motion passed unanimously.

Executive Session/ Appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employees/The purchase or lease of real property of the use of the public body, including meetings held for the purpose of discussion whether a particular parcel should be acquired.

Alderman Downey made a motion at 6:55 p.m. to come out of executive session, seconded by Oswald, motion passed unanimously.

New Business

Motion to adjourn was made by Alderman Downey at 6:55 p.m., seconded by Koller motion passed unanimously.
