City of Centralia Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee Met April 8.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

Present: Agee, Garrett, Spann, and Graham 

City Harting         CRC Ex Director Germann 

CRC – Allen 

Absent: Lawson, Young and Border 

Public Participation: None 

Approval of Minutes: Agee made the motion to approve the minutes as presented and Garrett seconded. Motion carried with unanimously.

Treasurers Report: No report was available.

Ongoing Business:

1. Fairview Pool- Sonya reported that the Illionis State pool license was submitted. At this time still have not had definite confirmation of the pool opening or not.

2. Goals/Responsibilities- no additions

3. Juneteenth- The event is scheduled for June 19th. Gayla reported that at this time no meeting has been set with the Community group. 

4. CRC report- Scott submitted an informational page on the current stats on registration for Baseball, Softball and Tball. Registration will continue till April 17th. Also on the report is the current tournaments that have been scheduled with GSA and Super Sonics.

5. Youth Center – No report

6. Gayla reported that the Fairview ball diamonds has a proposal from 618 Sports Academy to have Fairview as their Home field.

7. Gayla mentioned that nothing has been done with Pickleball courts. Sonya said she had spoken to Pat and waiting on better weather, will have to power wash and lay down lines before can be painted.

8. Ricky reported that the basketball courts at Laura Leeke park needs new nets and the back boards need repainted.

Garrett made the motion to adjourn, and Lawson seconded the motion. The motion carried.
