City of Centralia Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee met Nov. 4.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Present: Agee, Patton, Border, Garrett, and Graham

CRC Ex Director Germann

CRC – Allen

City – none

Youth - Williams

Absent: Young and Lawson

Public Participation: None

Approval of Minutes: Agee made the motion to approve the minutes as presented and Butch Border seconded. Motion carried with unanimously.

Treasurers Report: Jack Graham presented the Treasurers report stating Wal Mart expense was paid and some interest was reported. Butch asked what the airplane finances were for and Jack explained it was for the upkeep of the plane in Fairview Park.

Monthly Reports:

1. CRD report

a. Scott reported that all soccer, softball, and baseball game are over for the year. Currently staff has been winterizing equipment and fields.

2. Youth Center

a. Herb Williams reported that he is waiting on final approval from Wal Mart, Schnucks, and Aldi for the 150 turkey giveaways.

b. November 13th they will be preparing meals for 500 families for free for anyone in need of a meal.

c. November 20th is the Blues Night fundraiser at Castleridge. Tickets are $55.00 per person and tables of 6, 8, or 10 are available with reservations. Tickets can be purchased through any board member or on-line through Castleridge site. Herb listed the various individuals who will be performing on that night. He stated there will also be items to be auctioned off.

d. City Report – No report

Dave Agee made the motion to adjourn, and Ricky Garrett seconded the motion. The motion carried.
