Kristen Crabill and Derrek TIburzi spoke about the amendments on private sewage disposal system. Currently the subsurface discharge systems are the only ones allowed under the ordinance. This amendment would allow for surface discharge systems following some strict guidelines and sampling requirements.
This would actually be a cheaper option than the subsurface system in some cases which is part of why they would like to do the amendment.
Motion by Kiel, seconded by Ibberson to recommend the ordinance amendment.
