12edited

There were nine lawyers with active licenses to practice in Nashville as of February, according to the ARDC of the Supreme Court of Illinois. Data refers to all lawyers who were actively practicing during this time period.

A study found Illinois had the sixth-highest number of lawyers per capita, with nearly 50 lawyers per 10,000 residents in 2018.

In Illinois, only active lawyers are authorized to practice law based upon their license. The four alternative statuses to "active" for a lawyer are "inactive status," "disability inactive status," "retirement status," and "permanent retirement status," according to the Illinois State Bar Association.
